OVERVIEW:
Today we continue our viewing of Life Is Beautiful and the worksheet I handed out last week.

As you fill out the worksheet, keep the following questions in the back of your mind: 1.) What are the biggest differences between Schindler's List and Life Is Beautiful? You may want to take notes on this on the back of the worksheet. 2.) What affect do these changes have? 3.) What are the relationships like between the characters? 4.) What might be the reason for such drastic changes between these two movies? Why do you think Roberto Benigni chose to put such a spin on the story and the characters?

HOMEWORK: Due on Day Eight! (Download the assignment sheet.)
1.) You will need to download a copy of The Bleeding Sky; read chapters 1 & 2 (pages 4-24) and answer the questions on the handout.
2.) You will also need to download two other different accounts and answer questions (also on the homework sheet) about them. Please print out a copy of the two accounts you use and bring them to class. One account may be a Witness or a Survivor, but not both. The second account, for example, may be a Librator, a Rescuer, or a Perpetrator. (You can find accounts at Cybrary of the Holocaust.)
